Prohibited Goods

Happy Parcel strictly prohibits the shipment of restricted items under any circumstances. While we have outlined key categories, summaries, and examples of prohibited items, this list is not exhaustive. Additional product categories may also be restricted beyond those specified.

Alcohol, Wine, Spirits & Tobacco

Our carriers do not accept alcohol or tobacco products for shipping.

Animal, Reptile, Horticultural & Agricultural Goods

Live or deceased animals, as well as products made from animal skins, fur, bones, or other derivatives, require permits from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and cannot be shipped.

Counterfeit, Bootlegged & Pirated Goods

The U.S. government enforces strict laws against the sale, trade, or shipment of counterfeit, bootlegged, or infringing goods to protect brands and intellectual property rights.

Currency, Gems, Precious Metals & Stones

Due to their high intrinsic value, carriers do not accept currency, precious metals, gemstones, or related items for shipping.

Drugs & Controlled Substances

Illegal substances, chemicals, and drugs are strictly prohibited. This includes any items classified under the U.S. DEA’s Controlled Substances Act (CSA) or compounds that resemble substances listed on the CSA.

Electronics

Most consumer electronics that plug into a power source are allowed for shipping. However, devices containing lithium-ion or lithium-metal batteries are not accepted. Additionally, items classified under the Bureau of Industry and Security’s Commerce Control List—including advanced technology, crime-related, firearms, aviation, and aerospace components—are restricted from export.

Firearms, Weaponry & Military/Tactical Equipment

Firearms, military, and law enforcement equipment are strictly prohibited for shipping. Due to regulatory restrictions, Boundr cannot export these items.

Gambling Materials & Items

Products associated with gambling or betting cannot be shipped through our service.

Government Property

Items that are identified as property of U.S. federal, state, tribal, local, or foreign governments are not eligible for shipping.

Hazardous Materials & Dangerous Goods

Chemical substances, whether standalone, used as an ingredient, or incorporated into a machine, are strictly controlled for shipping—especially via air transport—due to their potential hazards to people, property, and the environment.

Medicines & Dietary Supplements

Prescription medications, including dental and veterinary drugs, are strictly prohibited from shipping. Over-the-counter medications, dietary supplements, and vitamins may be shipped in some cases, but certain countries impose restrictions or require import permits before acceptance.

Miscellaneous Restricted Items

Certain “specially designed” items, parts, and accessories may be subject to export restrictions.

Perishable Goods & Foodstuffs

Products requiring temperature-controlled transport cannot be shipped. Boundr’s service is not equipped for perishable goods, and carriers often reject such items. Non-perishable food products must be sealed in their original containers and meet applicable labeling requirements.

Pornographic Materials

Offensive, obscene, or indecent materials are not permitted for shipping and are often restricted or banned in many destination countries.
